Michele Dougher, D.V.M.
Dr. Michele Dougher received her Bachelor of Science from Virginia Tech in 1991, then her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from University of Florida in 1995.
After veterinary school, Dr. Dougher had unique opportunities working with wildlife in South Africa and small animal/zoo medicine across Europe. Once back in the States, experiences included serving as Veterinary Communications Manager in industrial veterinary medicine and as Medical Director and Head Veterinarian in a corporate veterinary hospital. She returned to private practice in 2002 and enjoys both small animals and exotics. She also has experience in pet therapy and hopes to become involved with this again in the near future.
Dr. Dougher has been with Northern Virginia Veterinary Associates/Chantilly Animal Hospital since spring 2011, first as a Relief Veterinarian and now as an Associate. In her spare time, she enjoys being with her husband, David, their 3 children (Cullen, Sage and Finn), and her crazy dog Noelle (aka Marley #2).
